Classes are held at our Spanish Immersion Montessori School (formerly Discovery in Motion center) at 991 Boylston Street (Route 9) in Newton.Important:As we located on Route 9, the back door is being used as the primary entrance for safety. Please always drop off and pick up children in the parking lot behind the building. Our Spanish Immersion Montessori School is now EEC accredited is accepting applications! Fall, 2018 Classes (September – December)

Mixed – Age | (6 months – 4 or 6 years)

Sat. 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM

This is a fun and interactive class where parents, caregivers and educators sit with their children to explore the Spanish-language, music, and Latin-American culture. This class is perfect for parents with multiple children of varying ages. Children are exposed to Spanish through songs that create an environment that allows for a long periods of listening and exposure, coupled with call-and-response interactivity requiring physical movement. Parents receive a copy of our own music heard in class to enjoy in the car and at home. Games, songs, books, sign language, puppets, parachutes and toys of class cultivate curiosity and will stimulate children in rewarding ways. This language adventure can take them for a ride on a train (parachute) through the countries of the Americas, or simply popping burbujas (bubbles) in the bath top with patos (ducks) and ranas (frogs). If your child likes jumping, dancing, and singing this is the perfect class!

September 15 – December 15 (12 Weeks)
No classes October 6 or November 24.

Ages: 6 months – 4 years.
Parents and caregivers remain and participate.

Spanish Immersion Classes 4-8 years

Sat. 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Immersion classes offer extended classes designed to foster increased learning and language retention. Children will enjoy varied activities including a music & movement musical component, crafting, storytime, and more. Parents receive a copy of the seasonal music written and recorded by ABC Spanish in Motion for use during the music and movement class component. The songs on the CD are very popular with little ones and provide a wonderful opportunity to re-explore themes and words introduced in class and improve vocabulary retention. Immersion classes are drop-off classes. Younger children must be potty-trained. A completed registration form must be delivered by the first day of class, and be sure to leave and special items your child may need (inhalers, etc.). In the case of of classes three or more hours in length, children are limited to attending one class per week (per Mass. EEC Regulations).
September 15 -December 15 (12 Weeks)
No classes October 6 or November 24.

Ages: 4 – 8 Years
This is a 2-hour intensive drop-off class for older children. **Please** leave children with lunch/snack. Pizza will be served on the final class day.
